Because my friends do this, I thought i'd jump on the bandwagon.
Cleanliness. My house used to be clean all the time (and by clean i mean clutter free). It is rarely ever that anymore b/c i don't have a big house and i live with 3 boys. but today, all of my kitchen counters are free from clutter and there isn't a single toy in the living room. that is freedom my friends.
Sticker Charts. we have reimplemented sticker charts at home now for positive reinforcement. one gets tired of constant order barking and fight refereeing. so the reward of stickers or the threat of taking them away is working beautifully for the moment. probably not in 2 weeks...but with 2 little boys, you do what you can in the moment.
Part time Work. I am working on Fridays right now. I get to work at 10 (after i take luke to preschool) and work until 530-6. for the moment, it is pure sanity b/c i get to use my brain for something adult and in 4 months, who is seriously gonna want to keep 3 kids?
Blankets. With this pregnancy, I stay cold 24/7. People always say about the summer time (you can always put more clothes on in the winter if you're cold. you can't take more off in the summer.) well, i just don't believe it. give me 90 degrees any day over 60. there is a blanket on every piece of furniture in my living room and i always wear house shoes.
Variety. a lot of people crave one thing in pregnancy. i want something different all the time. and i'm also and excited that i will get to know the difference between boys and girls.
My Hubby. he is a huge help around the house. he has been down for a couple of weeks with his hernia and the surgery and won't be back to "normal" for a month or so still, but he is still finding ways to be super helpful...and that is MASSIVE for me.
there are always more things, but this is what came to mind today. simple, but without any of them, life would be much more complicated!!

Tasty Tuesday
I'm gonna try to post something every week b/c i think a lot of us get in a rut and i would love for anyone who may read this (all 3 people i think) to post something back!! I'm sorry if everyone and their mother has this recipe, but it's my hubby's favorite!
Chicken Roll-ups
1 can refrigerated crescent rolls (you can use the grands if you like)
3/4 lb chicken breasts
1.5 cups cheddar cheese
1 can cream of chicken (or you can use mushroom if you prefer it)
1 cup milk
salt & pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350 or 375 (whatever it says on the crescent tube). Boil chicken (and i add in a chicken bullion cube to make it have a little extra flavor) and shred. unroll crescents. (you can make 8 individual or for micah and i, i pinch 2 crescents together at the seam to make a rectangle.) add salt and pepper to shredded chicken to taste. add chicken to middle of crescent and roll up, placing seam side down. in a seperate pot, heat soup, milk and cheese until cheese has melted. pour mixture over crescents. bake until crescents start to brown on top.

upcoming events
the last week and the next week have been and will continue to be busy ones. i have been trying to get some painting done around my house in order for it to look it's best for when we are ready to put our house up for sale (which will hopefully be in march). however, micah has decided since he is turning 30 on sunday, it would be a good time to claim his oldness and have his first major surgery. he has developed a hernia and will have it repaired next wednesday. (if any of you still keep in touch with bernard, let him know that he is on my beast list. b/c while he took my man from being all gangly to having muscles, i am blaming him! not really.) but micah will be 2 days post op when he will come with me on friday to have our pink/blue ultrasound. i'll take the day off of work to babysit him and then the next day my friend ellen will come babysit him and the boys while i'm at an all day CEU class for my nursing license. so everyone say a little prayer that 1.) micah has a successful surgery and a quick recovery. 2.) that everything looks perfect and that the baby shows the goods on Friday. and 3.) that i don't lose my mind in the process of it all. did i mention that my hubby is the super champ and always gives the baths and that i have to be on bath duty for a month? i mean, is growing them for 9 months and then being sawed in half to get them here not enough? lol!!

15 weeks/3 days
had my 16 week appointment today and everything is plugging right along. the baby's heart rate was 155 and my belly is measuring just right despite being down 8 lbs (did i mention i LOVE this kid?)
and we have the date to "find out" if we'll be seeing more blue or pink for the first time on january 25th. so now, we just wait. and i don't know if i should be anxious or nervous. another boy...just throw him on the pile with the others. a girl...what in the world would i do? that is all different parenting!! i walk down spiderman aisle at walmart...i know what is cool. i turn down the "pink" aisle...and i am completely lost. so while a change would be good (probably mostly for my sanity), keeping the status quo might be easy. oh my...21 days of not being able to sleep!!
