it's just that i've been trying to keep myself busy and teach myself a few new tricks. remember those end tables and lamps i bought the day before the folks backed out of our house... i didn't mention that now they just sit in my garage waiting patiently b/c there isn't room for them in my current house, did i? sad, but true.
this is a shirt i made for our friend/"cousin", Maddie. she lives in Nevada these days and we miss her terribly. we hope to see her this summer!! (can i just tell you that the "m" was a booger for this novice? i'm not good at turns. any advice would be appreciated for real, yo.)
and for my angel girl...
and for anderson...cause suzie asked! i hope it's ok! and i hope he feels better soon!!

The M looks great from here! These are all just adorable!
I was super crafty yesterday, painting and decopaging some wooden totes for a baby shower this weekend. They just might be my most favorite project ever. I can't believe how well they turned out. If I was cool like you and got my blog up and running again, I might post a picture of them. but, sadly, I'm not. I just had to celebrate my recent craft-osity with someone who I know can appreciate it!
Impressive. I'm working on a wicker table and chair set that I bought off of craigslist. The advantage is that I got a set worth over a thousand dollars for 40 dollars. The disadvantage is that I may never get the dog smell out of it. Any ideas on how to do that. Seriously, they were sitting in my garage and my garage started stinking. So, I pulled them out to my backporch which is where the will remain. I took the covers off the cushions only to find out that they had been recovered over dog hair. I used the upholstery cleaner on my carpet cleaner on them but they still stink. I've got to get the smell out before I recover. Even if they are going to be on my back porch. Yuck!
YOu really should start selling on Etsy! Email me and let me know how much I owe ya. Love ya girl and it looks so great, I'm jealous of all your talent! ;)
the lamps and table look wonderful! great transformation! and those shirts are too cute. i just saw an idea in my new family fun magazine today that i might try... i've always wanted "number" shirts for the kids but they're always $30+ in magazines. we'll see how it goes?!
Love the whale. I'm going to have to try that :)
So cute and I think it all looks great, too! Love the lamps and table! Adorable!
very, very cute! i have a couple of friends who are excellent "sewers" and do applique all the time. i've done one just to cover up a stained t-shirt. it was a giraffe because of the shape of the stain! Ha! the other times i tried, i just chewed up the shirt and i haven't tried since! I admire your skills!
